Hello Baldwin Elementary Parents!

My name is Rodney Long, and it’s my honor to serve as the principal of Baldwin Elementary School. Let me share a little about my background: I am a life-long resident of Habersham County and began my career in education after working for over ten years in private industry. I have previously served as the principal of Habersham Success Academy. I served there for two years. Prior to my time at the Success Academy, I served for one year as the Assistant Principal at South Habersham Middle School and four years as the Assistant Principal of Wilbanks Middle School. Before my time as an administrator began, I taught at North Habersham Middle School. In addition to these positions, my education background includes working as an adjunct professor and a Graduate Admissions Coordinator for Piedmont College.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve your child and look forward to meeting each of you individually. I passionately believe that a strong partnership between school and parents produces a genuine difference in a child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for your student’s success, and I want you to know that one of my goals as principal is to develop strong ties between the families and staff of Baldwin Elementary. By working together, we will make your student’s experience at Baldwin positive and life changing!
